Moving.

The reason for the sudden tumbleweed silence over here is we're currently in the processes of trying to move house. Moving from rented house to rented house is a nightmare at the best of times. Finding somewhere within your price range, in an area you know (and like) and where the current tenants just happen to move out just as you need to move in seems almost impossible sometimes. This time we have had to work into the equation a potential dog we're hoping to adopt (landlords really seem to hate dogs). It's all very stressful and very expensive.

This move, however, has surpassed all stress levels I have ever felt before and moved into the 'Am I ever going to sleep again?'-realm. Our current landlord is trying everything within his power to stop us leaving his property. This includes lying to potential new landlord. They care little about us and what we have to lose. I won't bore you but I am a complete wreck We've already lost a beautiful house, we've already lost money and now we're losing time. I haven't been able to think of anything else for two weeks. I have cried a lot.

We may have found a way out, although I don't have much hope right now. Thank you to Dixon for keeping me sane. And thank you to those friends for standing by us. You're the best.

I am a believer that everything happens for a reason, but this is really testing me.

  1. Hope it gets easier for you. I can definitely sympathise, I long for the day where I own my home and aren't worrying about moving sometime on the horizon. Thankfully the worst problem I've come across is landlords trying to screw us over for our deposit. Moving is definitely a stressful process, it's a shame your landlord doesn't realise that.

  3. OH no!!! This sounds awful. Why are there such awful people in the world? Hoping this gets cleared up quicker rather than later. You deserve to have a home you love.
