2014 Blog Round-Up

The biggest thing of 2014 was bringing home a puppy! Puppys take up a lot  of time. But Eva is amazing, so I don't care one bit. Some other huge things happened too; my friend Amy had a beautiful baby boy (my first friend to have a kid and he is awesome), my brother got married, Dixon and me had our 5th year anniversary, I went to my first camping festival and staying a few nights in a log cabin.

I have never done a blog round-up, but this year I've done some posts that I really loved writing and I'm pretty proud of! So here they are, my blog highlights of 2014:

Buh Bye 2013.

↑The highlight of my year was riding bikes in Barcelona. And exploring some amazing places↓

I'm still kind of in shock that another year is about to pass. 2013 was a pretty good year! Probably the best one yet. And I am so excited for 2014 to start. I am dedicating everything to making sure I enjoy every single second of 2014. You never know when people are going to leave, or things are going to change, so I need to enjoy them whilst I can (that sounds kinda morbid, huh? It isn't supposed to!). I want to do a lot of new things this year, and I can't wait to start.

What are your New Years plans? I'm off into town to celebrate with a bunch of friends, town is something I would usually avoid like hell at New Years, but I'm looking forward to it. I hope you have a blast whatever you decide to do. And, I hope your 2013 was awesome, and that your 2014 is even better!!

1 January 2013

Oh, hello 2013!

Happy New Year!  I really hope you all had an amazing time seeing out the old year and in with the new.

Now onto opening up my 2013 diary! I love this time of year. And then, onto settling on a couple of new years resolutions. I always make a few little ones which (like many people I'm sure) I rarely think about after the 2nd of January. And I've realised why... They're boring! The good intentions are there, sure, but they are always dull, dull, dull. Resolutions-past have been; Be nicer to strangers, lose weight, drink less coffee, swear less, exercise more. Zzzzzzzzz.

I already have a whole heap of things I want to get do within the next 14 months, so, in 2013, I have promised myself some fun and interesting resolutions. I challenge you all to do the same! I've gone with 3 very precise goals. Here they are:

          - Go Camping - I LOVE camping, but I haven't done it in years. We were given a brand new tent a while ago that we still haven't used. It'd be fun to go to a National Park with our bikes for a weekend. Take a little stove to cook soup, and corn on the cob. I can't wait.

         -  Build a Dining Table - After seeing Elsies beautiful DIY table, I am inspired (desperate) to build my own. Did I mention before that Dixon bought me a drill? Well, I'm yet to use it so this is the perfect project. And maybe I'll actually have a dinner party I've been meaning to have for ages. I also want to make wine/beer racks.

         - Swim! - I have dreams about swimming all the time. I love the feeling, but I really don't do it enough (if at all, come to think of it). I'd love to go swimming in a huge lake, but I'll start in the pool.  I've read that swimming is great for asthmatics so there are extra benefits. I have a new swim suite too!

I will also be working on a whole heap of other achievements. As well as focusing on: this blog, fitness and finance.

So, what are your fun resolutions going to be? I really hope 2013 is the best one yet for all of you, your friends and family. I can't wait to see what it brings.

31 December 2012

The end of 2012 & a Thank you.

It's daunting trying to sum up a whole year in one little post and probably pretty boring for you to read. 2012 has been really great, lets leave it at that.

One thing I have to mention though is way back in March, I started this little blog. I had always had a few blogs I read on and off. That short-list started getting a lot longer. 'On and Off' turned into every day. All those amazing people I read daily inspired me to create my own. And here we are! Although this is a pretty small blog, I wanted to thank all of you for reading. It really does means the world to me hearing from you guys and seeing you come back to read again and again.

Tonight, I am going to a friends house for a little get together. We'll eat, drink and watch the fireworks. That sounds like absolute bliss to me. I am not one for battling the crowds on New Years Eve. Whatever your plans are this year I hope you have the best start to 2013 possible. See you in the next!
